Solo Umbria: Infiorate di Spello & Rediscovering the green heart of Italy

Umbria. It all began here. This is where I fell in love with Italy. This region affectionally known as the green heart of Italy is the only landlocked region in Italy. It was often overlooked by tourists longing to visit Tuscany and big cities of Rome & Florence. But in these glorious hills are so many hidden treasures that are often missed. On this Photoventure tour, I wanted to go back to the roots and dig deeper into this region to give an unforgettable experience that no other tours can provide. While my tours are normally scheduled during the fall seasons, this time we are purposely scheduling it in June to participate in this unique / world famous local festival called Infiorate Di Spello.

We have a unique opportunity to not only witness but actually participate in this special event called Infiorate di Spello - considered one of the most profound and beautiful local festival activity in Italy. This is a weekend long event and we will be placed in a team to participate in this festival that is guaranteed to be filled with wonderful photographic opportunities. Here’s a quick video to give you a glimpse of what to expect. This has been on my bucket list of things to do in my life time and we will have the opportunity to do this together:

2017 PhotoVenture Tours with Kenny Kim & Friends

ITALY: June 15-21, 2017

Along with Infiorate di Spello, we will dig deeper into the heart of Umbria. From their breathtaking hills & landscapes, astounding yet approachable architecture, not to miss wineries and cheese tasting experiences, cooking classes, truffle hunting, plus more, you’ll discover that there’s something for everyone here. If full immersion / unique cultural experience to Italy is what you are looking for, Umbria has it all and this PhotoVenture is for you.

When PhotoVenture started in 2009, we offered the tours only to professional photographers and mainly attracted wedding photographers since this is what Kenny Kim is known for. But over the years, we have discovered that when people from different backgrounds come together, a special synergy of learning and networking takes place. It created an environment that allowed us to teach and learn from one another. For this reason, we have opened up this tour for people of all professions that have passion for travel, photography and new culture.

Kenny will openly share his business tips, slew of his networking & marketing strategies for wedding photographers in a one-on-one or a group setting (depending on the topics being discussed and people attending the tour). For the avid amateurs or those just starting out in photography, Kenny can share the basics of SLR camera and shoot along with you side-by-side to help get the best shots. We will have various teaching moments including a scheduled lifestyle / engagement photo session with a beautiful Irish model couple. Kenny will share his shooting and posing tips and share his settings to get great images right out of your camera. Each days are organized with detailed itineraries to help maximize our time in Ireland but also open to any delightful surprises we may encounter along the way.

“The best parts of the trip are when Kenny spots an amazing scenery and yells "stop the bus!" and we are off on an unscheduled mini-adventure. The lasting memories and friends I've made keeps me coming back each year.”
